Rugby league legend Sir Billy Boston left £200,000 fortune following his death at age of 92

The rugby league legend Sir Billy Boston, who died last month aged 92, has left behind a fortune worth £200,000 without a will.

Sir Billy was laid to rest yesterday following a funeral at the Wigan Warriors’ Brick Community Stadium – his former team.

He passed away on August 24 just a month after his wife of 70 years, Lady Joan, died.

Legal papers released yesterday named his son Stephen as an administrator.

After deductions, the net value of this estate was £127,000.

His estate will most likely be left to his three surviving children.
