Tracey Emin has shared that her brother Alan tragically passed away while she was in hospital being treated for ‘sepsis and diverticulitis.’
The artist, 63, was diagnosed with bladder cancer six years ago, and in an Instagram post revealed she spent eight days in hospital when she fell ill after ‘suffering with infections for weeks.’
Tracey shared that she ‘was expecting but wasn’t expecting’ her brother’s death, and called Alan a ‘kind and gentle soul.’
She wrote: ‘I have had the strangest time. Deeply sad events, some I can write about some I can’t.
