‘It’s a miracle I’m alive’: British fireball crash victim heaps praise on ‘superhero’ rival who saved his life as he speaks from hospital bed in China weeks after horror smash

British racing driver Ollie Millroy has hailed the bravery of fellow racer Loek Hartog after he saved him from his car when it burst into flames, admitting that it’s a ‘miracle I’m alive’.

Millroy, 36, was racing in a China GT event at Shanghai International Circuit when two cars smashed into his Ferrari while navigating a bend earlier this month.

In video footage of the incident, Millroy’s vehicle can be seen spiralling off the track while aggressive flames and huge plumes of smoke billow above it.

Rival Dutch driver Hartog is then seen pulling up beside the wreckage before hurriedly unbuckling his seat
