Harrowing moment suspected drug boat erupts in fireball as US strike kills four in Caribbean – taking campaign death toll to 231

The US military has launched another lethal strike on a suspected drug trafficking vessel, killing at least four on board. 

The strike, carried out Saturday under the authority of US Southern Command and Joint Task Force Southern Spear, targeted what was described as a suspected narco-terrorist boat in the Caribbean.

‘Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel’s active involvement in narco-trafficking. The operation killed four narco-terrorists,’ US Southern Command confirmed in a statement about the deadly encounter.

Operation Southern Spear has killed at least 231 people in 69 strikes since the Trump administration launched the operation in September 2025.
