A young couple is dead after a man ‘accidentally shot his girlfriend,’ then ‘became overwhelmed with grief’ and took his own life, police say.
CloeRae McBrayer, 21, traveled from Alabama to Alaska to visit her boyfriend when he shot her around 9pm on September 16, according to the Fairbanks Police Department.
Her boyfriend, 22-year-old Landon Lowrance, was playing with a revolver when he pointed it at McBrayer and ‘accidentally’ pulled the trigger, investigators determined.
