A town council meeting descended into chaos as police were called to remove a councillor who was filming the chairwoman while a brass band played in the background.
It took 13 minutes for the Barnoldswick Town Council to spiral into disarray, reminiscent of the viral ‘Jackie Weaver’ parish council Zoom meeting back in 2021.
Council chair Leanne Barrett noticed councillor David Whipp, the former Lib Dem leader of Pendle Borough Council, filming her and asked him to put his camera away.
But after he refused, Cllr Barrett adjourned the meeting and decided to ring the police.
