Three teenagers who died after a car smashed through a barrier and plunged into the River Wear have been pictured.
Emergency services were called to the waterway in Sunderland at Panns Bank near Wearmouth Bridge at around 1.30pm on Tuesday.
It was reported four teenagers were inside the black Audi A3 at the time. A 17-year-old was able to get to safety and has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The three victims have been named as Jackson Duke, 17, Luke Etheridge, 16, and Zara Shaw, 16.
