Ikea has launched a second-hand marketplace exclusively for its furniture and homeware – with prices said to be 60 per cent lower than for new items.
The Swedish retail giant said the platform will provide greater access to ‘affordable’ products, taking on the likes of eBay and Vinted.
Sellers can scan an eligible item to create a listing, with the website automatically providing recommended pricing, professional product photography, accurate measurements, product descriptions, assembly instructions and care information.
Buyers can also order new spare parts for free, such as restraint brackets to secure furniture to walls.
